Beerburrum

Beerburrum is situated off the Bruce Highway on the way to the Sunshine Coast. Beerburrum is a small town close to the Glass House Mountains and the Glass House Mountains National Park. It is about 60 km and about 1 hour’s drive North of Brisbane.

Beerburrum is steeped in history because 500 blocks of land were allocated to returned serviceman from world war one.

Hundreds of returned serviceman took up the offer of land and lived in this area. As you walk or drive through Beerburrum you will find a lot of old signage, which recognizes the towns involvement in the soldier settlement's scheme. You'll also see the Avenue of trees which were planted in 1920 down Anzac Avenue.

And you'll find historical information near the Beerburrum state Beerburrum has pockets of rainforest, eucalypt, as well as pine forests. There are many walking tracks and lookouts that you can enjoy and there is also a camping area and picnic areas. Things to do around Beerburrum and the Glasshouse Mountains National Park include bird watching, mountain biking, rock climbing, canoeing and camping.
